Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a consultation?
All of our treatments are tailored specifically to the unique needs of your skin following a thorough consultation with one of our practitioners. For certain treatments, a patch test may be required before undergoing any treatment. Before each treatment or procedure, we will assess your skin complaint to decide upon the appropriate treatment plan for you. If you have booked in for a series of treatments, we will keep assessing your progress along the way so that we can adjust and tailor procedures to suit you. We’ll never recommend a treatment that we don’t believe in and will always use your assessment to decide upon the treatment or procedure that is right for you.
Can I bring a chaperone?
Please contact us before your appointment if you would like a chaperone during your appointment. You are welcome to bring a friend or family member if you prefer.

Do you offer a payment plan?
Please see our Price Plans page for information.

Will I be given advice on how to prepare for treatments and what to do after treatments?
We will provide you with an appropriate before and after care regime for each and every treatment.

Will my treatment be painful?
Most of the treatments we offer are entirely non-invasive and pain-free. For some treatments, a topical anaesthetic may be applied to the treated area to minimise discomfort during the procedure. This will wear off after a few hours and you will be able to leave the clinic immediately after treatment.

Is there a risk of scarring?
One or two of our treatments carry a very small risk of scarring. You will always be advised before treatment if there is a risk of scarring and how to minimise scarring should it occur. Scars will need to be kept out of the sun, as sun damage can slow healing. With the right care most scars will fade to being barely noticeable in time.

Should I expect any complications?
Because our treatments are non-invasive, complications are very rare. You will be advised of any potential side effects associated with your treatment at your consultation and are provided in writing before your treatment. Some complications include minor bruising, redness, swelling or some discomfort. These complications usually resolve within a few days and can be easily relieved with over-the-counter anti-inflammatory and pain relieving medication.

When will I see results?
Results vary depending on the type of treatment and the condition of your skin. We only advise you to undergo treatments that we believe will be effective for your skin. We will discuss possible results before each treatment. More information can be found on the individual treatment pages.

What is your cancellation policy?
Please contact us at least 48 hours before your appointment time if you will be unable to attend. Failing to attend your appointment without contacting us at least 48 hour in advance may mean you will lose the £50 booking fee on your account, as this covers the costs of running the clinic, and a new booking fee of £50 must be paid before booking another appointment..

What is the cost of a consultation?
All consultations cost £50 to book. This can be applied towards the cost of any treatments you have. The £50 is non-refundable unless there is no suitable treatment that Hilton Skin & Body Clinic can offer you due to medical reasons, in which case the consultation fee is refundable up to twelve months from the date which it was paid.

Is there a fee to book an appointment for a treatment?
All appointments require a £50 fee to be paid at the time of booking to secure the appointment. You can then use this £50 towards the cost of the treatment or any products you purchase. This is non-refundable.

Can I bring my child with me to my appointment?
We are unable to accomodate children under the age of 12 anywhere in the clinic. Unfortunately we cannot allow children in the treatment rooms with you during your treatments nor in the waiting room.
