Exilis

EXILIS ULTRA – Full Body Skin Rejuvenation

Exilis is commonly used:

  1. Non-invasive: Exilis is a non-surgical treatment that does not require incisions or anesthesia. It provides a non-invasive option for individuals seeking skin tightening, body contouring, and fat reduction without the risks and recovery time associated with surgery.
  2. Skin tightening: Exilis stimulates collagen production, which helps to tighten and improve the texture and tone of the skin. It can be used on various areas of the body, including the face, neck, abdomen, arms, thighs, and buttocks, to address sagging or loose skin.
  3. Body contouring: The controlled heating of Exilis can target localized fat deposits, promoting their breakdown and elimination from the body. This can lead to improved body contours and a reduction in areas of unwanted fat, helping individuals achieve a more sculpted appearance.
  4. Minimal downtime: Exilis treatments typically involve minimal to no downtime. After the session, individuals can resume their regular activities immediately, making it a convenient option for those with busy lifestyles. The treatment is generally well-tolerated, with most individuals experiencing a warm and relaxing sensation during the procedure.

What is Exilis

The Exilis Elite Treatment by BTL Aesthetics utilizes radiofrequency technology to delicately warm the dermis, triggering the production of fresh collagen in the deep layers of the skin. In addition, when employed for body sculpting purposes, it directs radiofrequency waves towards undesired fat cells, effectively breaking them down for safe elimination by the body. This treatment presents an excellent solution for enhancing the body, as it diminishes body fat and tightens the skin, all without resorting to surgical procedures!

How BTL Exilis works

Exilis is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment that uses radiofrequency (RF) energy for skin tightening, body contouring, and fat reduction. It is a versatile technology that can be used on various areas of the body, including the face, neck, abdomen, arms, thighs, and buttocks.

The Exilis treatment works by delivering controlled RF energy to the targeted area, heating the deeper layers of the skin. This controlled heating stimulates collagen production, which leads to skin tightening and improvement in texture and tone over time. The treatment also helps to break down fat cells and promote their elimination from the body, resulting in a reduction in localized fat deposits and improved body contours.

During an Exilis session, a handheld device is passed over the treatment area, delivering the RF energy. The device is equipped with built-in cooling mechanisms to ensure that the surface of the skin remains protected and comfortable during the procedure. The treatment is generally well-tolerated, and most individuals describe it as a warm and relaxing sensation.

The number of sessions required and the frequency of treatments can vary depending on the individual’s goals and the treatment area. Typically, a series of sessions spaced a few weeks apart is recommended for optimal results. The treatment is generally considered safe, and there is minimal to no downtime associated with it, allowing individuals to resume their regular activities immediately after the session.

Exilis is commonly used for skin tightening, wrinkle reduction, cellulite improvement, and body contouring. It is important to note that while Exilis can provide noticeable improvements, it may not be as effective as surgical procedures for significant fat reduction or skin tightening. Consulting with a qualified healthcare professional or aesthetic provider can help determine if Exilis is a suitable option based on individual goals and expectations.

Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Anti-Wrinkle Injections Clinic In Reading

Anti-Wrinkle Injections

With age, wrinkles, fine lines and furrows can appear on the surface of the skin. Although wrinkles are a normal part of the ageing process, they can be made worse by repeated movement of the muscles underneath the skin, such as when we smile, causing ‘laughter lines’ around the eyes or when we frown, causing lines and furrows between the eyebrows. These are known as ‘dynamic’ wrinkles.

What Causes Wrinkles?

A number of changes occur in the skin as we age. The dermal layer starts to thin, which makes skin appear noticeably thinner, while collagen production slows. Elastin fibres also start to wear out, and fat cells get smaller. The amount of nutrients available to the skin is also decreased, and a combination of all of these factors means that the skin appears thinner. Without the collagen, elastin and fat underneath skin to provide plumpness, wrinkles and sagging can occur.

How Do Anti-Wrinkle Injections Work?

Anti-wrinkle injections use a medical drug. They work by blocking the signals from the nerves to the muscles. Once the muscle has been injected, it is no longer able to contract. Because the muscle cannot contract, lines and wrinkles are softened and the skin covering the ‘relaxed’ muscles begins to regenerate. Anti-wrinkle injections can also be used in conjunction with other injectables, such as dermal fillers.

What Can Anti-Wrinkle Injections Treat?

Anti-Wrinkle Injections are probably best known for their cosmetic uses of dramatically reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, but it has a surprising number of medical uses too. For example, some migraine patients can be treated with Anti-Wrinkle Injections, and are also commonly used to treat neck and back pain, facial tremors and dystonia. At Hilton Skin & Body Clinics, we also use Anti-Wrinkle Injections to treat hyperhidrosis, a condition that causes excessive sweating. In each application, anti-wrinkle injections work in exactly the same way – by blocking nerve signals.

We use anti-wrinkle injections to treat the following:

  • Frown lines and furrows
  • Horizontal lines across the forehead
  • Crow’s feet and laughter lines around the eyes
  • Peri-oral lines (lines around the top lip)
  • Marionettes (a sad, down-turned mouth)
  • Golf ball/dimply chin
  • Nefertiti (sagging skin around the jawline)
  • Necklace lines (lines around the neck)
  • Decolletage lines (lines around the chest area)
  • We also inject Anti-Wrinkle Injections into the armpits to treat hyperhidrosis

During Treatment

During treatment, Anti-Wrinkle Injections are injected into the muscles using an ultra-fine needle, causing only very minor discomfort. A series of injections will be made into the muscles, which will typically take no longer than 10-15 minutes. Visible results should be seen within around 7-14 days and could last for 3 to 4 months, depending on the area treated. Patients will then usually be advised to have top-up treatments 3-4 times per year to maintain results.

Anti-wrinkle injections use a medical drug called botulinum toxin (often referred to as Botox for short, although this is actually a brand name). Botulinum toxins work by blocking the signals from the nerves to the muscles. Once the muscle has been injected, it is no longer able to contract. Because the muscle cannot contract, lines and wrinkles are softened and the skin covering the ‘relaxed’ muscles begins to regenerate. Dermal Fillers

WHAT ARE DERMAL FILLERS?

Perhaps one of the most popular non-surgical aesthetic treatments in the world, we use a range of high-end dermal fillers here at Hilton Skin & Body Clinics to plump and ‘fill out’ areas of skin.

The appearance of wrinkles and fine lines will be reduced, resulting in fullness and volume being replaced. Dermal fillers can be used in conjunction with other cosmetic injections to treat a wide range of ageing problems. And, when injected into just the right spot, an instant facelift-like appearance can occur, providing a youthful, rejuvenated look almost immediately.

The clinic really give you good advice in how to look after your skin and didn’t seem too pushy when selling what I needed. I ended having the EDS Dermaroller for my face and neck. I was so worried it would be so painful but surprisingly it's not that bad at all but I did have some anaesthetic cream applied before hand.

KATE MONTERIAN

The clinic is always spotless and has a warm inviting atmosphere. Staff members are extremely knowledgeable about all of their treatments, and they even took the time to speak to me over the phone relating to questions about my treatment before I even booked a consultation. 5 star clinic and would highly recommend to anyone.
