Here at Hilton Skin Clinics, we offer the Alma Lasers ClearLift 4D device, often dubbed the “Lunch Time Face Lift”. Patients can come into the clinic for a full laser neck and facelift treatment.

What is the ClearLift 4D?

The Alma ClearLift 4D offers the first fractional non-ablative Q-switched Nd: YAG laser with a wavelength or frequency of 1064nm. We can also use something called a KTP adaptor on this laser and this doubles the frequency to 532nm. As well as that, it has a double rod for the laser, rather than just one, so it is able to maximise on the production of the laser energy which means we can produce efficient and effective treatments.

This laser is part of our new Alma Harmony Pro XL platform and is one of our most versatile devices within the platform as it provides us with a laser which we can use to treat three separate skin problems or indications. This technology means that we can use the power and benefits available from a device typically also used to treat pigmentations problems and for tattoo removal, to treat ageing which causes imperfections in the skin such as fines lines and wrinkles, sun damage (also called photodamage), as well as things like uneven skin tone, texture and minor laxity or skin sagging. With this, we can treat the face, neck and décolletage or female upper chest area, which is a common area for showing the tell-tale signs of ageing.

Many lasers treatments use heat, generated within the upper skin layers to stimulate the production of new collagen. The ClearLift 4D, via the specially designed fractional Q-switched laser, has a deep mechanical effect, using what are called photoacoustic shockwaves, and focuses its energy beneath the epidermis of the skin, to create a much deeper, and controlled wound in the dermis, in the form of small microscopic holes spaced evenly apart, so the epidermis, top layer of the skin, is left undamaged. The body then starts the healing process to make new collagen and with that there is a contraction or tightening in the tissues, thus giving the lift.

Because healing occurs underneath the outer layer of skin, the process is very gentle, considered to be virtually painless with no downtime, and suitable for use on areas of skin that might be too sensitive for other types of treatment, as well as safe for all skin colours (types I-VI).

What Can It Treat?

Most people are suitable candidates for ClearLift 4D. It is suitable for all skin types and most ages, with moderate signs of sun damage and ageing. The ClearLift 4D can treat fine lines and wrinkles on the forehead, between the mouth and nose, the delicate areas around the eyelids, the neck, around the mouth, the décolletage and even the backs of the hands. Unlike other laser treatments, the ClearLift 4D is suitable for use on all skin types and is the perfect way to achieve an overall tightened and rejuvenated appearance without the need for surgery or any downtime.
